I love shooting at La Venta and I love shooting for Jen Rau! We thought for sure it was going to rain…. an hour before we had to be at La Venta we stoppped to get umbrella when it started sprinkling. As soon as we walked out of Target it was bright sun!!! I felt like I was in Hawaii and we had a freak tropical storm. The rest of the day was gorgeous!!!! This wedding was awesome. I love green and orange! Two of my favorite colors and it was the weddings colors. I was so excited! The sky was so blue after the storm too. It was such a beautiful day for a wedding on the bluff :)

Venue Wedding Photography

I was so excited about shooting at the Beverly Hills Hotel for Jen Rau! First thing I did was get a picture of the sign on the hotel. Becky and Tyler had the most beautiful garden wedding. I loved the maze of lush green through out the hotel. There were all these cute little pockets to take pictures in. Becky and Tyler were one of the nicest couples. I felt very honored to be at their wedding!

I loved, loved, loved the flowers on the gate. Perfect for note cards!

Becky’s favorite drink…. it looked so good. It was pear vodka with grenadine. Yummy!

On Saturday I had the pleasure of second shooting for Arlene Mutter. Nina and JR were married in old town Pasadena. It was amazing! I’d forgotten just how historic and beautiful Pasadena is. The ceremony was held at Saint Andrews Church. I love that church. It’s just breathtaking. I felt like I walked into a NYC or European Cathedral. It was simply amazing. I hope my pictures do it justice. Afterwards we took some formals at Pasadena City Hall and then we were off to the reception. The party took place at the City Club in downtown LA. What a view. It’s on the 54th floor of the Wells Fargo building. When we left the reception the sidewalks were empty and all the trees were light up with white Christmas lights. I felt like I was in New York City. It was surreal. :)

I loved the golden amphitheater in the park :)
What a beautiful place to get married and worship!

The view from the City Club is amazing!

Joel + Carrie

I survived my first double weekend! I had two fabulous weddings this weekend, one on Friday and my second on Saturday. Both were for great couples so it was no sweat. Both weddings were friends from Baxter (my job in a former life) so I was really looking forward to seeing some old Baxter friends. I think I got the double schedule down :)

The wedding was held at Christian Church of Thousand Oaks and the reception was held at North Ranch Community Center. I was so excited when I found this cute little fountain behind the church. It was our little garden of eden :) Joel & Carrie as such an adorable and loving couple! A good time was had by all!

This is my all time favorite bouquet toss picture… this girl really went for it! You can still see the petals flying in the air. I love it!
Angela is an amazing singer!!! I’m really excited about shooting her wedding in October :)

Andi + Ignacio

I’ve been looking forward to Andi & Ignacio’s wedding for a long time! I just knew it was going to be amazing… and it was :) They were married at the Westlake Village Inn. The site was absolutely stunning. Andi and Ignacio just look so perfect together and they are so in love! I haven’t been to a wedding yet with such amazing light! The entire day was just perfect… just as a wedding should be.

This Saturday I had a great time second shooting for Jen Rau for Leigh & Joe’s wedding. The bride & groom got married at the beautiful La Venta Inn in Palos Verdes. It was absolutely beautiful! This bride and groom were two of the most talented brides and grooms I’ve come across yet. I love how Joe spent a half hour writing a last minute love note to Leigh before the ceremony and turned it into a origami terradactyl. They had an amazing dance… something out of dancing with the stars. To top the night off they jammed with the band!!! Very original wedding :) Loved it!!!!
