I headed back down to Santa Monica for Kayla and Shayna’s portraits. I’m just so in love with the colored walls on main street and I think they are just perfect for Senior portraits. The colors just matched perfectly with Kayla and Shayna’s bubbly personalities! It was really fun doing a session with sisters. We were hoping for some nice morning sun but instead we got some clouds. It ended up being some really nice soft light. I hope they had as much fun as I did ;)

Justine and I headed down to the White Dress Couture and Vintage Bridal Boutique to go dress shopping. We found two dresses that we just fell in love with. I bought a Melissa Sweet and Justine bought a Vera Wang. The name of the store really describes the dresses because I truely feel like my dress is Couture and Vintage. I just love it! They said they’d never had two brides come in and buy dresses at the same time. I can’t wait to get my dress! Now I just have to plan the rest of the wedding! Cherie and Dan had a very intimate wedding at Duke’s in Malibu last Friday. I’m so in love with Cherie’s dress. It was so different and edgy. Loved it!!! We had a fun photoshoot on the beach before the ceremony. They watched the sunset over dinner and had a great candlelit ceremony once the sun went down. That was very cool. I have to give Cherie and Dan for planning a unique wedding with a lot of style ;) Definitely one of my favorites!

Leaving Las Vegas was a big hit! I have to give Mark and Jason big props for putting it together. Red Rocks was an amazing place to get some brides together and shoot. I want to go back ;) Could you imagine if I could take engagement pictures there? That would be cool. I can’t wait to see everyone’s pictures from the session. Hopefully you enjoy a couple of mine ;)

On Wednesday after having a fabulous shoot with Carisa I met up with some Santa Barbara photographers at the Venetian. Richard Photo Lab was having a great mixer. I met some great folks like Mike + Anna Costa, Jeff Newsom, Dia Rao, Josh and Michelle from Mi Belle and Jose Villa. What a night! I’m so glad Katie Moos invited me out! We ended up at the Ghost club in Vegas and the top of the Palms. Great times! :)

Here is Carisa’s portrait session from Vegas. She was so much fun to hang out with! She really wanted some new headshots. I was happy to help :) We met up at Paris and took pictures at Paris and the Bellagio. I love the cowboy hat! I think purple is a great color on blonds with green eyes. It really made her eyes pop. We met up late afternoon so I was able to take advantage of some afternoon flare. We all know how much I love my flare ;) Posting this maks me want to go back to Vegas ;) Viva Las Vegas!

As much fun as I had taking pictures and blogging from my iphone, it’s nice to put some real pictures on the blog ;) Afterall …. this is a photography blog!

I rolled into Vegas on Tuesday for WPPI 2008. The tradeshow was at Bally’s and Paris. The first night was a hit. Justine and I headed over to the bludomain party. The bludomain party every year is the one to be at. My new site is bludomain and I love it! I just gotta let everyone knowing I was up and running in less than 2 weeks. They rock! The party was off the strip this year at the Parisian Palace. None of the taxi drivers even knew how to get there. But man was it worth it! This place was mixture of high end Paris and Elivs. Loved it! I ended up becoming friends with out fabulous blackjack dealer. If I was playing with real money I could’ve retired ;) Stay tuned for some hot pictures of Carisa.
