It’s wedding season and brides all over are planning their weddings. I thought I’d blog some of my favorite wedding details shots of 2009.  I love all the details!!! The dress, the shoes, the flowers, centerpieces, rings and more… luv it!!!!  I really appreciate all the thought and time that goes into picking out the details and what a representation their personal style.  As you can see they are all so beautiful and all so different. Pick something that makes you love and makes you feel fabulous!

Hanna and Tyler’s wedding got a lot of attention this year on the bridal blogs!  They were featured on Get married, Elizabeth Anne Designs, Blogger Brides, and The Green Bridal Guide.  This was the cutest country chic wine country wedding in Los Olivos. The reception was held at Montanaro Farms, which is home to the old Los Olivos Groccery store in Santa Ynez.  The house was surrounded by antique cars, windmills, chairs and more.  They left the bales of hay out just for the wedding which were perfect for posing the bridal party.  I love any chance to get up to Santa Barbara wine country for a wedding :)

Alyssa and Jeff’s also got a lot of press this year. The wedding was held at Eucalyptus Lane in Ventura.  This venue is amazing! It features an old barn that has been restored and decorated with old vintage antiques inside. The garden outside is full of romantic wildflowers.  This amazing wedding was featured on Brenda’s wedding blog, Forever in the details, Happy Go Lucky Weddings, and weddingbee.

Oh yes…. Christian and Rikki are the coolest couple EVER! Maybe I’m just a little biased since he is my little brother ;)  I love how Rikki styled this session with her vintage parasol, the Harley, & railroad tracks in Ventura. Love, love, love!  Give Kat some blog love by visiting her blog & telling her how much you love it!  View the Rockabilly Rockers post on Rock ‘n Roll Bride :)  This is the second fabulous wedding that Rock ‘n Roll bride has published of mine. Another fav was this fishnet & black lace wedding in Malibu.

Last year I added engagement sessions to all of my wedding packages just because I think they are that important.  I am so glad that I did!  I love these sessions! It gives the couple an opportunity to just be themselves. There are no guests waiting for them… no timelines or expectations.. no clothes they are afraid to get dirty… These sessions are just couples having fun getting awesome pictures to celebrate being engaged!  I love how each couple picks a location that reflects a little bit of who they are.  Have fun with it! Bring props! Pick out a fabulous outfit! It’s such good practice for the big day!  It’s not every day you dress up and play supermodel ;)  The engagement session gives us a change to get to know each other better.  Through this session I get to know what poses work and which don’t.  After all … some couples rock the serious looks and others just need to laugh.  After all, each couple is different.  I love showing up to a wedding after all the guests have seen the engagement pictures.  And on the wedding day you don’t have to feel akward in these poses.. you’ve been through it already ;)  Here are some of my favorite images from each engagement session I photographed this year.
