Joanne and Daniel wanted colorful and whimsical backgrounds for their wedding day. I love what we found! Universal City walk is just across the street from the Universal City Hilton. It’s perfect!!!! The wedding colors were red and fit Joanne and Daniel perfectly!!! This wasn’t just wedding portrait time… this was a party!

Here’s a fun engagement session for Nicole and Jon. I love that we got together at the park for some pictures with Rylee. I used to work with Nicole and was so surprised when I showed up the for the engagement and recognized Jon from High School. Such a small world!!! I love clients who I now a little before the wedding. I can’t wait to shoot this wedding in May!!!
I have to say it’s always super windy at the Ventura pier… but I think Nicole’s hair looks amazing in the picture below. It’s one of my favorites of the session! She looks like a pantene commercial!
I was so excited to meet Polly & Chip for their engagement session! I was happy they brought their adorable puppy for the engagement session as well. She made the best prop ever! I’m looking forward to the wedding in San Diego!
I’m so excited to blog Part 2 of Michele and Kurt’s wedding. The reception was amazing!!!! I’ve done quite a few weddings at La Venta and the details for this reception were by far my favorite. I’m so in love with the lanterns that were hanging from the rafters! The long tables, candles and floral decor gave such a romantic mood and were perfect for a rainy day. The rain did not keep this party down. It was such a great day to cozy up with someone you love! What a perfect feel for a wedding day :) I loved watching Michele & Kurt dance the night away with friends & family!

I had one fun filled day with Tiffany and Jon! We met in the morning at Union Station. I love how old and timeless union station feels. I think a part of me wishes I lived on the east coast where I could take subways all the time! There are so many cool nooks and crannies through out the station. After union station we headed over to Olivera Street. That place smells sooo good at lunch time. I need to go back just for lunch and a giant margarita. I loved watching Tiffany and Jon almost kiss the sombrero man ;) Thanks for being such a trooper for a picture!!!! Engagement sessions usually include some making a ham of yourselves in public ;) We finished our session at Walt Disney concert hall. What amazing modern architecture! Tiffany & Jon had such great taste choosing a piece of old & new!

I was so excited that the sun came out for a few hours for Michele and Kurt’s wedding! I know it’s good luck for it to rain on your wedding day, but I was so excited that they got some portriats on the Manhattan beach pier! The girls got ready at the Belamar hotel. I love the modern decor of the hotel and the blue matched Michele’s details perfectly! The ceremony was held at American Martyrs Catholic Church in Manhattan Beach. I had the pleasure of photographing Jessica’s, owner of Bijoux Events, newborn portraits of Baby Ava last week. Jessica was pregnant with Ava last year when we worked Carrie & Brad’s wedding so I was so excited to finally meet Ava! She is such a cutie!!!! Congratulations!!!!
