I headed back up to Portland to visit Karyn for her birthday. Hayden is six months now so she was tons of fun! We had a great time at The Stepping Stone resturant. They have the best mancakes! yes, giant size pancakes! yummy!!!
We headed to Multnomah falls to get some fun pictures!
I was so excited to stop in Seattle. I’ve always wanted to visit. Pike’s fish market was at the top of my list! It was poring rain all the way from Portland so I was so happy when it stopped raining 10 minutes before I arrived in Seattle. Of course it starting raining as soon as I got back in the car to head north to Lynden!
There was a bunch of really good swing dancers just having fun in front of the market!
Since Deadliest Catch is one of my favorite shows I had to go to Pike’s fish market and see some crab!
I’m so glad the weather was clear for a trip to the top of the Space needle!

Saturday I headed out with My Annt Candi to go wine tasting in Lynden. We started with breakfast at the Rusty Wagon. Yum! I love all the farms in Lynden!
If you are ever in Bellingham you have to go to Woods Coffee shop on the bay! Great coffee and I can’t imagine a better view!
Sunday morning on my way back to Portland I had more one stop in Seattle. I had to see the docks from Sleepless in seattle. I had such a great time drinking my Starbucks and enjoying the rainy view!
I headed out to Austin, Texas to visit my friend Rita. It was an awesome mini-vacation. Austin is the capitol of live music and I loved the warm welcome in the airport. Live blues in the bar as soon as you got of the plane! We went out on a Tuesday and there was live music everywhere. I wish I could have stayed for the weekend. South Congress is such a great place to live. Here are some images of the capitol building. We had a toddler that was such a energetic tour guide!
I’m so excited to celebrate my one year anniversary with my wonderful husband today! I can’t believe it’s been one year already! Last year at this time we were saying our vows in Maui. I’m so blessed. Love you baby!

I love photobooths! I had the best time seeing all my girlfriends while I was working Asha & Stanley’s wedding. Of course I had to jump in the photobooth for a pic. Stanley made this custom photobooth using his mac laptop and apple’s photo booth software. Genius & super fun!
Congratulations to the Arce Family!
I want to thank everyone who entered the contest. I wish I had the time to do a portrait session for everyone! There were so many families that need help this year but Kim’s email really stood out to me. I can’t wait to shoot her Family and give her some portraits that have some life, movement and energy in them!
In Kim’s words: They say that pictures are worth a thousand words, or that pictures freeze a memory or a moment in time. In our case, our family doesn’t have time on our hands. My husband has a rare genetic disorder that is slowly crippling him — walking is a chore for him — let alone standing still. Our moments are precious and numbered. I want Caleb to know what his father is capable of in case our someday comes and he is in a wheelchair. Chelsea captures so much love, fun and energy in her photos. I know she is full of energy – or at least she was full of energy in college. I want to be able to have that special memory on our walls – that captures the heart of our family – that can capture the special bond that is made between husband and wife, parents and child, that makes each and every day worth it.
This year has been such a good year I’d love to give back. I’m giving away one mini-session this year. The lucky winner will receive a complimentary “Christmas Card” package. Please enter here and tell me why you’d love a portrait session! Deadline to enter is 10.14.09. Winner will be announced on the blog 10.15.09.
Note: I’ll be determining the winner based on who really needs some extra help this holiday. Existing Chelsea Elizabeth clients, family & friends are not eligible.

I started out my trip in Oregon flying into Portland and headed to Bend to visit my friend Karen. The drive was beautiful and I wish I had scheduled some time to stop and take some pictures. It really was a whirlwind trip! I got into town, we headed to a baseball game and then hit downtown. We had a blast! Bend is adorable and I really miss Karen! Good thing she’s coming down this summer!
The amazing view from look out point.
This breakfast place was sooo yummy! Just what the morning called for!
fabulous tour of Bend :)
On Saturday I drove to Medford to visit Shelly. The drive was beautiful! I drove by Crater lake on the way to Medford. I arrived just in time for Shelly’s Baby shower for Baby Brody! It was nice to meet all of Shelly’s friends & family in Medford. On Father’s day we took Roland wine tasting. I love Roxy Ann Winery. It was so good. I’m still kicking myself for not buying that Pear wine. I know Shelly & Roland are going to have so much fun going there for happy hour!
Steve and I just got back from our Honeymoon in Hawaii. We had the best time. It was so nice to just relax, layout on the beach, smorkle and have some cocktails. Every other time we’ve gone to Hawaii we’ve been so go, go, go. This time we didn’t schedule a thing and just enjoyed our time in the sun. It was perfect!!!! We had 5 fabulous days at the Turtle Bay Resort on Oahu. It was heaven.. I highly recommend it!
I can’t wait to go back!!!!! ;)
