Sweet couple, Valerie & Justin entertained 75 close friends and family at this adorable, romantic backyard oasis. Nestled behind a beautiful estate home in the Pacific Palisades, a lovely small lake creates a perfect location for a wedding.
Q. We would love to know what attracted you to Chelsea’s photography?
A. Your pictures are just beautiful and you seem to capture the style of the wedding in your photographs, and when I realized you’d already shot at our venue, I thought it was meant to be! You’ll know the place better than we do! :)
Q. We’d love to know more about you! How did you meet, fall in love & get engaged?
A. Justin and I met in college. We’ve been together for 12 years, and have lived together for the last 6 years. Because we’ve lived like we were married for so long, and because neither one of us has ever really wanted a big wedding, we weren’t in a huge rush to actually seal the deal. We finally got engaged on Christmas, and planned the wedding in just a few months. It’s funny how we’ve been together so long, but engaged for so little time. I guess we don’t do too much the normal way!
Q. Do you have one detail that is setting the style for your wedding? What are your colors? What’s your favorite decor item?
A. I’m hoping to take advantage of the natural beauty our venue has to offer. We will decorate with lanterns and lights in the trees. We will have have colorful ribbon hanging down from the trellis above the tables. We will be using mason jars and burlap a lot to keep with the rustic theme. Justin and I made our own bamboo arch to exchange our vows underneath. Fingers are crossed that it remains standing for the ceremony! :)
