I’m so excited about the sample engagement album that I’m about to order. This engagement album is designed to be a sign-in book for the wedding. As you can see this album has tons of white space for fun and loving notes from all of your guests. The album is going to be printed up as a coffee table album with really thick fine art matte paper. The colors just pop out on this paper and the black and whites look so rich and warm. I’m so in love with these albums. And the best thing is you have a book to remember your engagement pictures with lots of nice words from your family and friends. This album will sit on your coffee table for years to come.

We snuck in my last engagement session of the year on a super dramatic winter day. Michelle and Steve got some amazing stormy beach skies that I just love!!! MIchelle works on a boat so it’s sooo fitting that they had thier engagment session at the harbor and on the beach. Michelle and Steve were such a fun couple to shoot! I can tell that their wedding is going to be full of a ton of laughs!
I had the pleasure of photographing my kick ass second shooter Kip and his wife Davina. It was about time I did something nice for Kip. He really helps me gets through a wedding. Next time Kips going to take some pictures of me and Steve :) After this session we had a fabulous dinner the King’s Head. We had a really fun wedding there the night before and had to come back and enjoy it on a night off with our spouses. Great night, great photo session!
Desirae and Grealon had their engagement session at the Santa Monica Pier. Desirae’s mom did an amazing job on the flowers for me wedding and I was soooo happy to return the favor. I can’t wait for their wedding at Spanish HIlls in April! This couple was made for the camera!
For my second mini-session last week I met up with Tobi’s family at the Santa Monica Pier. I just feel in love with the green wall underneath the pier and thought it looked like a fun backdrop. We had fun playing the sand, doing a little hide and seek and running from the waves. I love the beach! If only I were a kid again :)
The fires didn’t keep this couple down! We were supposed to shoot this session at the beach in Malibu but went to plan B after the fires and wind broke out this morning. I’m so glad we did! It was so much fun and a nice pleasant break from wedding errands. We started off in a nice wind protected area of the Mandalay Bay Hotel. When we headed down to the beach the wind had died down. It was perfect!!!! I’m so glad we got a great session in. I can’t wait for their wedding next month!

I met up with the Wisk’s for my second family session on Saturday. We did our session at the pier in Ventura. The beach was beautiful but the weather was a little crazy. I’m so glad the wind died down a little :) We had tons of fun playing with Ryan and Jack on the beach. The running was tons of fun!
Audrey and Martin got married in the Ventura Keys on Saturday. Martin’s Grandma has a huge lot next to her house and it was perfect for a Hawaiian wedding. They imported tons of sand to convert this blank canvas into a beachy paradise. For portraits we headed down to the Ventura Pier to make the beach experience complete. Such perfect sunny day for a beach wedding. Now we can celebrate the same day every year… thier Anniversary and My Bday! I’d rather celebrate an accomplishment then me getting older ;)
Congrats Audrey and Martin!

A tribute to the new law, Bride and Groom is so last year… It’s all about the Party A and Party B!
I met up with Jennifer and David last Sunday for a really fun engagement session. Jennifer wanted some beach pictures so we headed on down to the Santa Monica Pier. We ended up finding a really cool painted divider with one of Jennifer’s favorite artists. I thought that was a pretty cool find. My favorite spot of the Santa Monica pier is always underneath. I just love playing in the pilings. Such cool architecture shots! We ended the session up on the grass for some lovely sunset backlighting. I can’t wait for their wedding next month at Firestone.

Let’s me start out by saying that I’ve known Nathan since he was a baby. Until a few years ago I never would have thought I’d be taking his Senior portraits. I’m feeling a little old and dated right now! After getting over that feeling the session was really fun! We hit some classic Ventura spots and of course ended up down at the beach. Hopefully he has the best Cresto senior portraits to date ;)
