I love getting out and mingling with brides and vendors. This bridal fair didn’t disappoint! The weather was beautiful and the details were amazing! What a great launch to 2011 wedding season!
Here’s our table that we shared with Stella & Dot! On the left we have stylist extraordinaire Rita Riemer. On the right we have myself and my studio manager Ziva.
We took the opportunity to get some new headshots :)
I headed out to Austin, Texas to visit my friend Rita. It was an awesome mini-vacation. Austin is the capitol of live music and I loved the warm welcome in the airport. Live blues in the bar as soon as you got of the plane! We went out on a Tuesday and there was live music everywhere. I wish I could have stayed for the weekend. South Congress is such a great place to live. Here are some images of the capitol building. We had a toddler that was such a energetic tour guide!
Your Wedding Day magazine threw another fabulous party last night! The LA party was held at The Ebell. It’s such a great site and I couldn’t wait to see it all set up for a party. It was a progressive party with tons of fabulous details. I was so in awe as the party moved from room to room. I met up with old friends and met a ton of great new people. I’d say the party was an overall smashing success! If your a bride getting married you have to go pick up a copy of the current issue of YWD! It’s gorgeous!!!! I was so excited that the valet put a copy on my seat. Such a treat when I jumped in the car for the ride home.
It wouldn’t be a party without a photobooth! Thanks to LA Photo Party for providing some fun times! Here I am with Jen & Meghan Aileen.
You have to check out Jen’s blog Green Wedding Shoes for some great wedding tips. The girl has style!
I had a great time at the Your Wedding Day spring launch party this week! It was held at the Santa Barbara Natural History Museum in Santa Barbara and it was elegant! All of the details were divine! I look forward to seeing all of these designers at my weddings this year. I really enjoyed seeing all the chairs that you can rent for events. Chameleon Chair really raised the bar when it comes to chair rentals! The food was so yummy! There was fine cusine at a few stations but my favorite was the curried macaroni and cheese. I’m such a comfort food junkie! The music from 11H Entertainment was amazing! I love the way they fused a live band and DJ in one service. Since I’m such a wine lover I really enjoyed finding Bottle Notes. It’s a bridal wine registry. I love the idea! I wish I would have know about it when i got married. I would have really enjoyed a wine club as a present. The candy bar at was a total hit! Epicurean Umbrella really makes a fabulous dessert bar! The Wedding Gallery was fabulous! I really enjoyed seeing it!!!
If you haven’t yet, you have to pick up a copy of the current YWD magazine! it’s a must have!
Here I am having a blast with Danielle Biel & Shannon Mocabee :)
Before the wedding is the engagement session. I love these sessions! After looking back on 2008 and reflecting on the weddings that did have engagement sessions and those that I didn’t, I do have to say that I think they make such a huge difference and have such value. Engagement sessions are a great way to capture who you are as a couple everyday. You get to wear street clothes and pick a location that really fits who you two are together. It’s just the three of us and no one is waiting for you… we have all the time in the world to play around. It’s these fun relaxed shots that your grandchildren will love to see 40 years from now. I can just see them saying “Grandma & Grandpa.. you were so hip!” or whatever the cool word of the generation is ;) There are just some poses you can’t do in your fancy clothes. We can jump, sit, and run.. roll in the sand or jump in the waves! I love getting the chance to bond with couples before the wedding. We get to know each other and I feel like a certain wall is taken down before the wedding that really allows me to get those close intimate shots on the wedding day. You already know the drill so couple shots on the day of are a breeze and just a good time.
It was my first time hosting Christmas at my house and I was sooooo excited! Everything really turned out amazing! Here are some cute pics!
I got Steve a Wii… funny story.. because that’s what he bought for me too. We kinda caught on before Christmas and I got an iphone instead!
Now that I’m married I get to cook all the holiday dinners. Here’s my mom and Annt Clyda a little too excited to pass off the “honor” ;) Gotta love them!!!! Thankfully Steve knows how to cook!

Whoo hoo! I survived the year as both a wedding photographer and a bride. Trust me ladies… I know exactly what you all go through ;) I’m looking forward to 2009 as a newlywed and photographer. I have a feeling 2009 is going to rock!!!
On Saturday I had the best night of my life! It was sooooo amazing! To think we had an amazing wedding in Hawaii. I didn’t think it got any better then that. The wedding was a dream and the reception was the icing on top of the cake! I feel so honored and blessed to have been surrounded by my family and friends. It was sooooo much better then I thought it was going to be. The details turned out great thanks to Karyn, the DJ was amazing, and everyone haChelsea Elizabeth,Westlake Village Inn,Westlake Villagd a fabulous time! Our reception was at the Westlake Village Inn, in the Mediterraneo Resturant banquet room. Beautiful! I recommend it to all my brides looking for a elegant small reception!
