Sunday night I had the pleasure of capturing another Markowitz event :) Lisa planned a suprise birthday party at the Four Seasons in Westlake Village. Everyone met in the bar. Everyone mingled and enjoyed thier drinks while waiting to suprise Jay. Everyone yelled suprise!!! Jay looked very suprised and thrilled to see everyone! It’s always nice to capture the memories of such a loving family. Happy Birthday Jay :)
This Saturday I had the pleasure of shooting Dylan’s Bar Mitzvah. His ceremony was at Temple Adat Elohim in Thousand Oaks. Dylan showed up looking handsome in his suit! It was great to see the Wheeler’s again. I was really excited about shooting in the afternoon sun. It was so nice and warm. I’ve posted some pics of the ceremony in my blog. I love all the details in the temple. It just feel rich with history and tradition.
After the ceremony everyon headed over to Los Robles Greens. Everyone mingles with drinks & appetizers as the sun went down. Then Club Dylan invaded the banquet hall. It was awesome! The room was decorated in red & purple and the DJ was blasting the latest hits. Dylan entered in a white suit and purple shirt…. I almost thought Justin Timerlake just walked in! Nice entrance Dylan! Everyone partied well into the night! Great party :)

I was really flattered when Sarah called me to schedule family portraits. I went to Malibu to take family portraits at this amazing house in Malibu. The weather was beautiful! It was one of the first days without haze in awhile, but it was still a little windy! We took some photos up at the house and down on the beach. My favorite pictures are from the first 5 minutes when I was playing with the kids. They were adorable! It melted my heart to see a brother & sister hug! It reminded me of when I used to play around with my little brother! So cute! I’m uploading some of my favorites! :)
I’m shooting Dylan’s Bar Mitzvah in April so we met to take some portraits for his sign-in board. We met at Paramount Ranch. I just love shooting there! Paramount ranch is the cutest little western town in Calabasas/Agoura. I love all the textures that the town provides. Black and whites turn out so yummy and emotional there! We got some great pictures of Dylan. I mixed up some color and b/w. We even got some pics with Dylan’s big brother who is off to college. I can’t wait to shoot more pictures of the Wheeler family at Dylan’s Bar Mitzvah!
I had the honor of photographing the Installation of the 2007 Ventura County Coastal Associate of Realtors new board members. The event was held at the Ventura Beach Marriott It truely was an honor. We had portraits taken before the event and pictures of the ceremony. A good time was had by all!
Florida was amazing! I went with Steve on his business trip and toured Ft. Lauderdale and Miami. We stayed at the most amazing Marriott in Ft. Lauderdale! It was very posh! I was such a happy camper… very spoiled! I went for a road trip down to Miami and my first stop was the Biltmore in Coral Gables. I’ve always wanted to go there. It was very glamorous in an old money historic way. You could just feel that great things had happened there. The architecture was amazing! After that I made my way to South Beach Miami. It was awesome! I love all the Art Deco architecture. Amazing :)
I only had two days in Miami but I sure did make the post of it! ;)
Today I shot the Egel family photo. It was fun to shoot them in front of the Christmas tree. I can’t believe Thankgiving is over and Christmas is around the corner! Crazy ;) Time flies.
We even moved the tree over to get some pics with the suede wall in the background. I think that’s my favorite back drop by far. I just love getting the mother/daughter portraits and seeing the family resembelence.
I met up with the Young’s at the Dune’s in Oxnard. The kids had such a great time playing at the beach. It was so great to catch up with Karen & Ron again. We shot right before sunset and the light was amazing! We went right before sunset. I just love shooting at Oxnard Shores!

I’ve been adding my travel photo’s to iStock. The photo I took of the Santa Barbara pier is my most popular to date. I just love seeing the photos that people buy and wondering where they are used. It’s great to watch day by day as the gallery grows and the downloads increase :)
