This family portrait session was held at a private family estate in Malibu. I just love getting any opportunity to photograph in a vineyard and this one is a special treat. Malibu has such great architecture and landscape that finding places to photograph family and children is so easy. I just love these terra cotta walls & grassy landscapes. Of course, I just love putting a vintage feel to these timeless family portraits!
I’m so excited that this has become a family tradition for the Taylor family for their Malibu summer vacation. I just love seeing the kids grow up!
Michelle and Tracy had a great wedding at Calamigos Ranch’s Oak Grove last weekend in Malibu. I just love the rustic charm of the site. It’s so cute!!!! Of course I was super excited when I saw bales of hay again! Loved Michelle’s shoes against the bale of hay!!! Calamigos ranch + teal shoes + black & white zebra details + bales of hay = a fabulously styled wedding!
Now this is what I call a wedding crasher! Moo (yes, the cow’s name is moo!) just had to mosey on over and wish Michelle and Tracey a big congratulations on getting married! Of course this just made Jen’s day! Classic! Love it!
Janine and Kekona’s engagement session was such an adventure! We started at the beginning of Las Virgenes Canyon. There is such a great field that I always drive by that I’ve always wanted to photograph in. I’m so excited that we took portraits there. After the field we headed down to Surfrider beach in Malibu. I love that there were tall long boards along the brick wall. We also got some fun portraits of Janine and Kekone on the beach as surfers walked by. It such a perfect Southern California moment. As we were shooting we noticed that there was no wedding happening at the Adamson house. We were so excited that we just had to do a quick walk through. I’m so in love with The Adamson House. It has such great architecture, location and light! What a trifecta! Janine and Kekona are so blessed with great locations. I’m also really looking forward to their wedding at the Fess Parker Winery later this year. This session was so much fun! I was so happy when they invited me out to dinner after the session and we headed over to The Reel Inn. Such a great resturant. I can’t wait to go back. Thanks Janine and Kekona!!!
I love, love, love it when I find my weddings on wedding blogs. It’s the biggest compliment ever! I’ve been following Rock n Roll Bride for awhile now and was so flattered when I saw Cherie & Dan’s wedding. This blog is great for the modern bride who really wants to spice things up. Rock on!
Zoe and Joel’s engagement session was such an adventure! We started out at Paramount Ranch. We had such a great time. Zoe wore her mother’s skirt that she wore to her wedding. I thought that was the best idea and so special. I loved the skirt! It fit in with the rustic allure of Paramount Ranch. Of course since the green grass is so tall we had to go play in it with lots of twirls, snuggles and kisses! For our second trip we headed down to Zuma beach in Malibu for some beach fun. Zoe really wanted an engagement session in some mustard fields so I’m so happy that we discovered a little patch while driving down Kanan. It made the whole day complete!!!! Check out all the fun props Zoe & Joel brought for their session! They really did thier homework! I love the playful beach scenes! I’m really looking forward to their wedding at St. Max & reception at the Westlake Village Inn!
Stephanie & Kyle’s engagement session was held at Paramount Ranch in Agoura. We headed out in the afternoon for a early friday session. I’m so glad we did cause the weather was amazing and we had such a great time. I love the blue and black outfits that Stephanie picked out. The teal really brought out Stephanie’s eyes. I love the shots of Stephanie & Kyle playing around in the grass! So much fun!!
I’m so excited that I’ve been featured in It’s a Jaime Thing wedding blog! I’ve been following Jaime’s blog for a while and find it totally inspiring. She comes up with some really great style tips. I’m so glad she found this image on my blog. I love Cherie and Dan’s style and I think it’s great that other people do to!
My good friends Bill and Becky decided to elope! I thoght it was such a romantic idea! it was just the two of them and we met up at the Adamson House in Malibu. We just took some portraits of them before the officiant came to marry them. Just some fun portraits to reflect the day of the ceremony. We were watching the weather so closely. We spontaneously headed down a little early because there was a break in the rain. Man was it windy! But the weather was georgous! What a beautiful day for new beginnings! The Adamson house has the most beautiful grounds. It’s an old spanish house on prime Malibu real estate over looking the ocean. Who could ask for more? I’m so glad I could be there for the two of you! It was amazing!
June got off to a great start with a fabulous wedding at the Adamson House in Malibu for Jen Rau. The Adamson House is actually a national park located on prime Malibu beach. The old historic house is amazing. My favorite part was the amazing light coming through the ceremony site. This wedding had two of my favorite location ingredients, great architecture and great light! Patina was catering so you know the food was going to be super yummy and beautiful.
I love this bouquet! White peonies are my favorite!
Mocha was the perfect bridesmaid! I can’t wait to have a dog :)
They passed the rings along a string through the guests. It was such a great idea!
Mom and Dad dancing while the groom is horsing around on the dance floor.
This sky had some stars! The Adamson house is just magical!
