There is something to be said about two people who are so in love that you can tell just by watching them look at each other! Amy and Steve are that couple, so very in love! They had an amazing wedding in beautiful Santa Barbara. It did rain but their trendy pink and white umbrellas kept the girls dry (the guys had oversized black umbrellas too, very sharp!). There is an old saying that rain on your wedding day means you will have a strong marriage since a wet knot is harder to untie :)

Love, love, love the photo of Amy’s champagne heals and the Tiffany necklace that Steve gave her. I heard her asking him in amazement how he managed to get the necklace to her before they got married, it was clear she was very impressed!! Good job Steve :)
The groomsmen stopped at O’Malley’s on State Street for a pre-wedding drink…
The girls got ready at the very chic Canary Hotel in Santa Barbara.
Amy looked amazing and she is clearly in love! Look at her smile, she was definitely having a great time on her wedding day :)
Amy and her bridesmaids were so giggly walking down State Street in Santa Barbara… what great friends, I bet they have so much fun together! We found these amazing stairs at Paseo Nuevo right behind Nordstrom!
We loved the stairs so much so what better place to do Amy and Steve’s first glance?! Amy waited at the top of the stairs for Steve and when she saw him coming she was SO excited!! The look on Steve’s face when he turned around and saw his bride was great to watch, such a sweet moment for the two of them!
Their wedding ceremony at the Santa Barbara Court House… love this venue! Her beautiful wedding dress from J Crew was perfect for her modern ceremony.
You may think we asked them to dance for photos but they did this all on their own. Just having a quite moment with each other right after the ceremony… officially husband and wife :)
The way they look at each other with so much love, marriage is going to be good to them! The photo of them kissing under the archway is soooo romantic.
Those pink and white umbrellas just made my day, so elegant. And such a fun bridal party!

These are some of my favorite photos from the Court House. Those amazing lights and the wrought iron fence really add to the passion in these photographs.
Look for part 2 { Canary Hotel Reception | Amy + Steve } coming soon!!
After a few years away from Baxter, it was good to see Ingrid again! I enjoyed meeting her family & shooting her portraits. We met at the Santa Barbara courthouse & mission. Two of my favorite locations.

Have I mentioned how much I love Santa Barbara !?!?! Every time I’m there it just feels like home. It’s so beautiful. Shooting there is such a breeze. Lauren and Matt got the grand tour of scenic Santa Barbara locations. We started at the court house, headed to the beach, went to Elings park and finished up at the Arlington! I love all the locations Lauren picked out. I’m so excited about the Arlington at sunset. I love the last image of Lauren and Matt!!!!

This wedding was A M A Z I N G! Carrie got ready at the Fess Parker Doubletree. The girls were in such good spirits! Carrie has such a contagious smile! We headed over to the Santa Barbara Courthouse to do all the bridal party portraits and first glance. Of course we headed off in style in the trolly! I love it when the bride and groom see each other before the wedding. The first glance moment is just the best! I loved the look on Brad’s face when he saw Carrie. So priceless!

I love Carrie’s Coach shoes!!!
The Gerby daisies were perfect!

Ziva and Shad had an amazing enagement session in Santa Barbara. I’m so glad we got this session in before the fires broke out! We started out at the Santa Barbara court house. SB has some of my favorite places to shoot. Ziva and Shad really rocked out these portraits. Shad’s sister Reem will be happy to see that we got some good smiles out of her brother ;) It’s a good thing Ziva can get a big toothy grin out of Shad! My favorite new find of the day was the closed store front with the metal siding down. Love it! The pictures on the pier had some amazing blue sky. It was a fun session! Thanks for the sliders :)
This wedding album is designed as a 12×9 thick coffee table album. I designed this one in particular to match their engagement album. The two go perfectly together! Alisa and Kelly got married at the Canary Hotel in Santa Barbara. The groomsmen did some portraits at the Santa Barbara Mission and the girls went to the Santa Barbara Court House, Sunken Gardens. The ceremony was on the rooftop of the Canary hotel and the view was amazing! You could see all of downtown Santa Barbara and the artistic spanish tile roofs. It was breathtaking! We headed back over to the Sunken Gardens for family, bridal party and Alisa and Kelly’s portraits. The Santa Barbara Court House is one of my favorite places to photograph.
