Since Michelle and Steve love the ocean so much Pacific Corinthian Yacht Club was the perfect choice for their wedding reception! I’m so glad we got to take some portraits on the wooden sailboat! That was so much fun. I loved the view from the yacht club at night. The harbor looks so beautiful at dusk. Congratulations Michelle and Steve! I hope your having a fabulous honeymoon :)
Alyssa and Jeff had a very romantic wedding at Eucalyptus Lane in Ventura. The barn and grounds looked amazing. They spent such attention to details. I love the flowers that Alyssa put together. The whole day was so beautiful. Congratulations Alyssa & Jeff! I hope your having a fabulous time on your honeymoon!
Tricia & Scott started off the wedding season for me! What a great wedding to start off 2009 with. I met Tricia years ago through my brother Christian, but Tricia’s Dad and my Dad go way back. My Dad used to take Mark surfing back in the day. I just love shooting weddings of friends & friends of friends. It makes me feel part of the day. The day started off great. I have to say that Tricia was the calmest bride I have EVER seen! I wish I could have had it that together for my wedding but I was all nerves. Tricia was the best. She was just so excited to marry Scott and there was nothing else to stress over. We got some fun portraits, they had a great ceremony and then headed over to the cocktail hour. There was so much time to just enjoy their friends and family. It was a fun time! Congratulations Tricia & Scott!!!
This wedding was especially fun for me since my Dad was a guest. It was great watching him have such a fun time hanging out with his friends. Some of the guys were his buddies from High School and they had some pretty fun stories to tell! On the right is a picture of my second shooter, Kip. I often use him to scope out locations and test the light. He’s such a good sport! And one hell of a photographer!
Here come the fun stuff! I loved the beading on Tricia’s dress. Her dress went to perfectly with the theme of their wedding!
I just love first glance moments! I think Scott was soooo happy to see Tricia before the wedding.
The Ventura Beach Mariott has some great places for portraits inside the lobby. I love the bold bright colors they have decorated the hotel with. I’m sooo in love with that red wall!
The ceremony was short & sweet! What more do you need?!
I love getting the reactions right after the ceremony! Everyone’s soooo excited that Tricia and Scott are married now!
I love this picture of Jacob that Kip got. Jacob was having such a good time playing with his friends at his parent’s wedding :)
Can’t you just see how in love they are when they dance! Love it!!!!
I love this last image of Scott hanging out in front of the firepit! The weddings over and now it’s just time to chill out….. perfect!
We snuck in my last engagement session of the year on a super dramatic winter day. Michelle and Steve got some amazing stormy beach skies that I just love!!! MIchelle works on a boat so it’s sooo fitting that they had thier engagment session at the harbor and on the beach. Michelle and Steve were such a fun couple to shoot! I can tell that their wedding is going to be full of a ton of laughs!
I met up with the Wisk’s for my second family session on Saturday. We did our session at the pier in Ventura. The beach was beautiful but the weather was a little crazy. I’m so glad the wind died down a little :) We had tons of fun playing with Ryan and Jack on the beach. The running was tons of fun!
The first mini-session went great! I met up with the Westfall’s for a family fun session at the beach in Ventura. I love shooting at the pier. The wind was giving us some bad hair but we still got some good shots. My favorites are on the lifeguard stand. Love the feet!
Audrey and Martin got married in the Ventura Keys on Saturday. Martin’s Grandma has a huge lot next to her house and it was perfect for a Hawaiian wedding. They imported tons of sand to convert this blank canvas into a beachy paradise. For portraits we headed down to the Ventura Pier to make the beach experience complete. Such perfect sunny day for a beach wedding. Now we can celebrate the same day every year… thier Anniversary and My Bday! I’d rather celebrate an accomplishment then me getting older ;)
Liz and Eric had an amazing fun filled wedding at the Pierpont Inn in Ventura. Liz got to enjoy the rose cottage for her getting ready. That cottage was so cute I want to just book it for the weekend sometime and get away. The ceremony was amazing. Liz’s Uncle married her and I alway love it when there is a personal connection. The rose garden really is beautiful. Your kinda tucked away and it feels really private. Afterwards we got some great portraits and the headed in for the reception. The dance floor was hopping all night :)

All Eric asked was that I get the entire tree in the picture. How do you think that tree looks now? Love my fisheye!
I could have shot all my portraits in this light!
I love the “Liz Marry Me” sign. Eric proposed with it… that’s the best story I’ve heard yet!
I officially got the last picture of the night! Whoo hoo!
Let’s me start out by saying that I’ve known Nathan since he was a baby. Until a few years ago I never would have thought I’d be taking his Senior portraits. I’m feeling a little old and dated right now! After getting over that feeling the session was really fun! We hit some classic Ventura spots and of course ended up down at the beach. Hopefully he has the best Cresto senior portraits to date ;)
Cori and Jeremy got married at the Wedgewood Banquet Center in Ventura. It was a great wedding :) I loved seeing Jeremy’s expression as Cori walked down the aisle. She literally took his breath away. It was sweet :) We got the last glimmer of light for formal pictures. The light was so beautiful. The dance floor was the place to be. Super festive crowd! I hope Cori & Jeremy have a blast on their Mexican riveria cruise. Sounds like sooo much fun! :)
