Ventura Beach Marriott Wedding Photography | Tricia + Scott

I recently photographed Tricia and Scott at the Ventura Beach Marriot. Being chosen as their wedding photographer in Ventura started off the season on a positive note for me! The Marriot in Ventura was the perfect place for them to get married.  I met Tricia years ago through my brother Christian, but Tricia’s Dad and my Dad go way back.  My Dad used to take Mark surfing back in the day.  I just love shooting weddings of friends &  friends of friends; it makes me feel like I’m actually participating in their wedding.  The day started off great. I have to say that Tricia was the calmest bride I have EVER seen!  I wish I could have had it that together for my wedding but I was all nerves.  She was just so excited to marry Scott at the Ventura Beach Marriot and there was nothing else to stress over. We got some fun portraits at Ventura Beach, they had a great ceremony and then headed over to the cocktail hour. There was so much time to just enjoy their friends and family.  It was a fun time! Congratulations Tricia & Scott!!!

This wedding was especially fun for me since my Dad was a guest.  It was great watching him have such a fun time hanging out with his friends.  Some of the guys were his buddies from High School and they had some pretty fun stories to tell!  On the right is a picture of my second shooter, Kip. I often use him to scope out locations and test the light. He’s such a good sport! And one hell of a photographer!

First Glance Moment Ventura Beach Marriott

The Ventura Beach Mariott has some great places for portraits inside the lobby.  I love the bold bright colors they have decorated the hotel with. I’m sooo in love with that red wall!

Here come the fun stuff!  I loved the beading on Tricia’s dress. Her dress went so perfectly with the theme of their wedding!
