What style do you specialize in?
My style has been described as modern, clean, playful, and artistic. I’m a blend of editorial fashion and photojournalism.  Your wedding is all about you! I’m there to capture it unfolds and tell the story through a series of images. I search out those special moments that make your wedding and family unique.

What is included in your packages?
Although some packages vary, every couple receives the following:

  • Chelsea Elizabeth, primary photographer
  • DVD of all high resolution images
  • second photographer
  • blog posting within a 6 weeks of wedding
  • online proofing within 6 weeks of wedding
  • online slideshow within 6 weeks of wedding

How many times have you worked specifically as a wedding photographer?
Too many to count ;) Almost every wedding I shoot is on this blog with an exception to a few weddings I’ve shot for other photographers. You can browse through and get a good overview of all my weddings.

Are you a member of any associations or groups specific to the industry?
Yes, I’m a member of the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International, Professional Photographers of America, Digital Wedding Forum and Open Source Photo. These memberships have allowed me to stay on top of new trends, great products and inspires me in my art!

Will you be available to discuss the wedding day photographs prior to the date of the wedding?
Yes, I love getting together with the bride at least 4 to 2 weeks before the wedding. I’m also always available by phone or email.

Will you be taking the photos at our wedding?
Of course! I don’t have associate shooters. When you book me I’m your the lead photographer for your wedding.

Do you have an assistant?
Yes, I always bring a second shooter the wedding. They don’t carry my bags, they are photographing your wedding. I ensure we have different roles so we are not shooting the same thing for most of the day.

How many pictures will you take?
Every wedding is different so it varies but I usually deliver 100 images for every hour I’m at the wedding.

Will you accept of list for specific photos to be taken?
I always capture the usual events of every wedding. If there is something unique about your wedding please let me know and I’ll be sure to capture it. The only list that I usually need is who you want in your family photos. Be sure to designate someone who knows your guests to gather them on the day of the wedding.

Do you have all photographs from two weddings that we can review?
Yes, you can view a lot of my weddings from my blog. Recent full weddings can be found on my online gallery. All galleries are password protected but you can email me for the code to review a full wedding.  Here are some of my favorite wedding slideshows:

Do you have references?
I started collecting reviews on my blog. You can review some feedback here.

Where have you been published?
View all published works on my FB page.

How long after the wedding will the proofs be ready?
Your online gallery is posted within 45 days of the wedding date.

If I decide I have to cancel or reschedule my wedding can I have my retainer refunded?
No, the retainer and all payments are non-refundable, non-transferable. The retainer reserves your date for you and Chelsea Elizabeth turns down all other bookings for that date.

Can you provide/post the proofs online? Are proofs passcode protected?
Yes, all weddings have online proofing. The password is the grooms last name.

Are you available to help plan a wedding album?
Yes, after the wedding I do a pre-design of the album. After that you have 3 design cycles to request image swap out and design changes. Here are some samples of my favorite albums.

What happens if, for some unforeseen event, you can not make the wedding?
Luckily I network with some really fabulous wedding photographers. We have an emergency list if anything happens to one of us. I will ensure that someone will be photographing your wedding that is at my skill level or better.

Do you have backup equipment available? What kind?
Yes, I come to every wedding with at least 2 of everything. I have three cameras, three flashes, about 10 different lenses. I have plenty of extra batteries charged and lots of memory cards. I make sure my second shooter does as well.

Do you accept credit cards?
Of course! You can fill out a credit card for or pay online via my online booking site.

If our event lasts longer than scheduled, will you stay and what rate will you charge?
Of course! My overtime rate is $500/hour and $550/hour over 8 hours. If you decide to keep us longer, Chelsea Elizabeth will invoice you after your wedding.

Do you include negatives?
A DVD of all high resolution, color corrected JPGs is included in every wedding package.

Do you shoot Raw?
All images are shot in mRAW and delivered as high resolution jpegs, exported at level 90 out of Lightroom.

What time should I schedule my ceremony?
A great time is 2 or 3 hours before sunset. Schedule your ceremony so your cocktail hour is the hour before sunset. That’s the best light for formal portraits. See what time the sun will set on your date. Click here :)

Do you offer a referral program?
Yes! Most of my business is word of mouth and comes from referrals. If you refer another couple, you and the couple will receive a $300/wedding or $100/portrait print credit upon the referred booking.
